Nas - Life's a Bitch Ft. Az

This song has been around for nearly two decades and yet I only heard it yesterday when I finally got around watching the film "Fish Tank". I instantly fell for this song, it's pure and rough lyrics with great beats, this song is really one of Nas' best I think. It's very relaxing to listen to yet when you hear the lyrics, his hard and real words doesn't quite let you forget about the reality of life.

Smith Westerns - All Die Young

I cannot believe I only just heard of this band Smith Westerns. I mean, really shame on me. They are pretty amazing. They almost sound like bands from late 70s/early 80s when new rock/alternative bands were just emerging and it was all exciting. I am really excited to hear more of their songs. This is an awesome song.

Azealia Banks - Esta Noche

Awesome awesome beats. Really got late early 90s vibe.

17.10.12

Little Dragon - Seconds (Syd The Kyd Remix)

Here is a song I just heard yesterday and I love it. The reason I chose this remix is nothing in particular- I just love it, I have no words for it, its just really really awesome to listen to.

16.10.12

Jessie Ware - 'Wildest Moments'

This song just bought tears in my eyes the first time I heard it. I just love everything about it. It is so beautiful, the words are just exceptional. I don't know what it is about this song, its just great. I have never heard of her but I will definitely look out for her other songs.

25.9.12

Odd Future?!

So, you've probably heard of 'Odd Future' or 'Tyler, The Creator' by now, I am sure. And, honestly, I never thought I would listen to them. I did not want to listen to them. Only because everyone was so into them, esp in tumblr. Everyone and anyone is/was talking about them. Then, I thought I might as well give up and give them a chance. The lyrics are very graphic and violent in Tyler's songs. But, as I researched more into him, someone has asked whether it bothers him that people criticise him for his choices of words and events in his songs. His answer was(in short) that these songs are just like films, they're not all fictional and tell stories, and so why do people take it so much more seriously than movies? That is what made me think about his songs in a different percpective. I was being narrow-minded. This particular song is my favourite. The lyrics are sweet and the music is great, upbeat. Enjoy x

19.9.12

Enter Shikari - 'Sorry You're Not A Winner'

ENTER Shikari!!!!! I fucking love this song, video, music - everything. This song is perfection. The music is so great, it's also part screamo with the singer and his lovely adaptable voice that can go from soft/pretty singing voice to roaring rock vocalist. The title of this song is great too! And I get all hyped and excited by watching this video- everytime! Enjoy x

14.9.12

Frank Ocean - 'Swim Good'

First, I would just like to say how much I have fallen in love with Frank Ocean. There are not many talent musicians around nowadays (I know I keep stressing that but it's a fact). And this song is just one of his many perfections. I can not get over this song. The lyrics are deep and dark. His voice is, as usual, flawless and the music is just so fresh and upbeat, you would not have really known how dark this song is if you didn't pay attention to the lyrics as much. Please have a listen if you haven't already. You will not regret it. x

10.9.12

Jay-z and Kanye West ft. Frank Ocean - 'No Church in the Wild'

Another update today is this new awesome song. Absolutley flawless. I have always been a fan of all the artists that are included in this song. Frank, from the start, and always. He is too talented, they all are. All combined, and this is the result. And what a result. The rap goes so well with the music, I just cannot find words for it except that I am in love with this song already and I only heard it yesterday. Enjoy x

Yuck -'Rubber'

Yuck! I fucking love Yuck. Too much. This is my favourite though. I first heard this song on last.fm last year. Haven't looked back since! This song is slow but with such powerful and heavy guitar, it's almost overpowering the singers' voice, almost. But you can still hear the lyrics and their(Max and Daniel) amazing voices. I just love it's uniqueness from other bands. Enjoy x

8.9.12

Stereo Alchemy - 'God of Love'

This song. Oh this song. Wow. The first time I heard this song, I had fucking goosebumps all over my body. I cannot and will not dislike this song ever. EVER. It is against the law for you to listen to this song and not like it. Enjoy x

7.9.12

Washed Out - 'Feel it all around'

Washed Out is actually just one person called Ernest Greene. I just fell in love with his music as soon as I heard this song. Everything about this song is just flawless. It's sensual, slow, mellow but upbeat at the same time. Like many other music I post, there is not one bad thing I can say about this song except that it is not long enough! Enjoy x

Arctic Monkeys - 'Brianstorm'

'Brian, top marks for not trying..'. This has to be my favourite song from my favourite band. EVER. This is actually the first song I ever heard from them. This is the song that changed my perspective of music in every way possible. Forever. Enjoy. x

4.9.12

Lana Del Rey - 'Summertime Sadness'

Lana Del Rey- what can I say about her. There are so many people who absolutely hate her and there are those who love love her. I, personally, am in between. I dont mind her. I think she is beautiful and really well spoken. Her voice is gorgeous. Her songs, on the other hand, are something to talk about. I only like some. This song is one of my fav of hers. She is a good lyricist and singer. The music is really different to other female singers that we usually hear nowadays. Have a listen and enjoy. x

Yeah Yeah Yeahs - 'Heads Will Roll (A-Trak remix)'

Remixes. They can be really good or they can totally go wrong. I, personally am not a fan as such. Actually, I loathe it. No matter how good or bad the original is.  But, sometimes, I try to be more open-minded and  I find myself enjoying the occasional remixes which are done well. Here is a song called 'Heads Will Roll' by 'Yeah Yeah Yeahs' remixed by A-Trak. In my opinion, Yeah Yeah Yeahs can do no wrong meaning I love them. So when I heard this remix, I was taken by surprise by the fact that I loved the remix too because I hate remixes of songs I love. Anyway, have a listen even if you're a bit like me with remixes, you'll be pleasantly surprised. It's also in the (awesome)movie Project X.

3.9.12

'The Blowers Daughter' - Damien Rice

And so it is..
Hello. I am sorry to have been away for couple of days, I have no excuse except for the fact that the weekend was extremely busy and that's it. Here is a song I just absolutely cannot get over. My sister introduced this song to me a couple of years ago and I did not like it at all. I dont remember why but I must have been a bit crazy then because how, just how can you not like this beautiful song?!! Yeh..anyway enjoy x

30.8.12

"This Is The Life" - Two Door Cinema Club

Hello! I am so lazy I know. I have just been lying around, doing absolutely nothing. Anyway, it's a really boring story. Here is a song I have  grown to love. I just love the music in the song, it's so..so..relaxing but upbeat at the same time. The guitar just makes it so much more. It makes me want to be somewhere with my friends, laughing and having the times of our lives. But I am too lazy for that hehe. So yeah, enjoy. x

25.8.12

Zulu Winter - 'Key To My Heart'

Morning guys! Today I would like to start off with this song by Zulu Winter. They are new and upcoming band and I saw them supporting Friendly Fires back in February. I just instantly fell in love. Let me tell you this, the vocalist's voice sounds exactly the same live as in the album, if not better. He is clearly talented and the lyrics are beautiful with the music being just perfect to listen to. Enjoy. x

24.8.12

'Your Song' - Kate Walsh

Hey hey! Just a quick update. Here is a song I absolutely love! I came across it when I was watching a film called "Angus, Thongs and Full Frontal Snogging". As soon as I heard this, it made my heart melt. I was just listening to mellow songs today and this came on and it took me back. It's just one of those day ok. Anyway, really hope you like it. I clearly do.
ps. if you haven't seen that film, watch it. now.
p.p.s. sorry about the crappy vid. x

Grimes - 'Genesis'

Morning all! I have finally bothered to share music with you. Here is a song by Grimes. Now, she is new to me but she is pretty popular, esp on tumblr. Anyway, I just decided to listen to her music and out of all the songs I went through I liked this one the best. I love the beats to this song. It's very easy to get lost into. I could easily listen to this over and over again. Enjoy x

LA ROUX - IN FOR THE KILL (SKREAM REMIX)

Hi Hi! Sorry, I haven't updated much in the past couple of days. Its because I was sick and still am. I just decided to do it today because I just heard this awesome remix of La Roux's song. Its a remix by the artist SKREAM. I absolutely love it, esp the middle part where the bass comes in. Its so fucking great. Enjoy. x

11.8.12

GoldFFinch - 'Red Mask'

Hello friends! How are you? I am well. Just been bit busy which is why I couldn't update yesterday. Anyway, here's a quick post to share this music by group called 'GoldFFinch'. I have yet to research about them but all I know is I am becoming a fan of them. Music is great and upbeat. I am not usually into such music but it doesn't hurt to be open-minded. Enjoy. x

9.8.12

Ginuwine- "Pony"

Morning! Today is a bright sunny day here, how is it around yours? I would like to share this song today. I got introduced to this song via the film Magic Mike(grr). I am pretty obsessed with this song so much right now. It is a great song with great music. The lyrics are very sexy. I miss those classic RnBs from the 90s. Enjoy. xx

7.8.12

Marilyn Manson- 'If I Was Your Vampire'

To end the day, I want you guys to listen to this awesome fucker. I love this song too much to say anything bad about it. I really enjoy listening to Marilyn Manson. His voice is just too fucking great. In this particular song, his voice goes so well with the feel of the music and the lyrics. It sounds almost perfect with everything put together. Enjoy x

6.8.12

Today's glorious events.

So, today I did nothing. Well, I watched a german movie called "Die Welle"(awesome movie btw) for the second time(still awesome). Also, I did some Insanity Cardio with my little brother. And went walking for an hour with my mom after dinner. Yes, but I didn't go to work because they didn't want my temp ass no more. :'(. But I just want some money to spend it on unnecessary things like my new Jeffrey Campbell shoes, which I did not need but absolutely want. Anyway, I hope they call me next week or I will cry. x

The Drums- 'I Felt Stupid'

Today, I would like to end the day by sharing this song with you guys, which by the way, is also the official music video(duh!). Umm, I am absolutely sure you all know of them. You might love them, hate them, like them..whatever! I just love the way the band produce their songs, their repetitive use of 'Reverberation' in all of the songs has got lovely vibe. I really appreciate them and they sound fucking amazing live. Enjoy.

5.8.12

Craft Spells - After The Moment

Hey yoo! Today is a good day. I would like to share this awesome song by Craft Spells. This is such a great song, from lyrics to the reminiscent music from the 80s. I absolutely love it. I am not sure if the video is official but enjoy anyway. :)

3.8.12

Thirty Seconds to Mars - "Hurricane"

Good Day! I am sat here, in front of my laptop, after a full day at work. And most of the day spent listening to this particular song. I think I listened to this about 12-13 times. I am so addicted to this song and I only just noticed it couple of days ago. The actual music video was very controversial when it actually came out. (Click here to watch) and it was banned from several channels. I think it's very controversial but it's sexy too. Have a look at it . The music video aside, I think this song is beautiful. Enjoy.

1.8.12

The White Stripes - 'Icky Thump'

Here is another song for today. I am sure you are all aware of THE WHITE STRIPES! Come on, who doesn't?! If you say you haven't, I won't believe you. It simply isn't possible. And I am sure everyone loves them. I know you guys do. :P. Anyway, any and every song they produce are fucking unbelievably awesome. So here is a random awesome song by one of my favourite bands. Enjoy.

CRYSTAL FIGHTERS - XTATIC TRUTH (ORIGINAL)

Hello there lovelies! Today I would like to share this beautiful song by the Crystal Fighters. This is not my usual type of song as I don't usually listen to dance-type music. But this is one of few exceptions. I cant begin to explain my love for this song. The beats are all composed at the right time, with the instruments flowing beautifully. They're quite new to me so I have been listening to other songs of theirs and they are really worth listening to! Enjoy.

31.7.12

The Cure "Boys Don't Cry"

This is a great fucking song. Sad to tell you that I only just heard of it recently. But I am glad I heard it later than never. I just have nothing bad to say about this song. To me, it's flawless. Enjoy.

The Neighbourhood - "Sweater Weather"

Another one of the countless songs that I am in love with. The lyrics are so subtle but sexy. The video is innovative but I personally just love the music. Listen to it once, then you'll be listening again and again. :D

More Than Conquerors - 'Bear Knuckle Fight'

Here is a song that I heard yesterday on BBC1 Fearne Cotton's morning show. I fell for it as soon as I heard it. They are new and upcoming and amazing. The singer's voice is so great and it sounds sweet too. The music is the best thing about this song. The composition of the song is unbelievable. I fucking love it. I hope you do too. Enjoy.

Class Actress - 'Let Me Take You Out'

Heyooo! Here is a song that has also been close to my heart for a long time. I discovered it when I was in Topshop. I just had to have it but I didnt know what it was called so I just typed 'Topshop Playlist' on google which led me to a website that had all the songs that has ever been played in the shops. Took me quite a while but was worth it. I love Elizabeth(singer)'s voice. The music makes me feel nostalgic of something that hasn't even happened yet. Anyway, if I get into that, you'll die of boredom so enjoy the music and it's video.

Tuseday

Today is Tuesday. Nahhh?! hah. Anyway, I usually work till 6:30pm but they didn't have extra work so I finished early. Where I work, I get to listen to my music the whole day. Yep. And my ipod's on shuffle always. So, when I listen to songs that I havent listened to in a long time, I always think "I am so blogging about this tonight!..oh and this one". But when I come home I completely forget. UGhhh. Anyway, I will try and remember next time.

29.7.12

Wild Nothing - 'My Angel Lonely'

Hi, so here is another one of my absolute absolute favourite song. If I went on with life without knowing that this song/band existed, I would've truly not lived my life. So, you can imaging how much this song means to me. Jack Tatum(also of Jack and The Whale and Warpaint) is one of the most talented musicians I know and I am always in awe with this song, every time I listen to it. Enjoy x

"Our Deal" by Best Coast

Here is a song that has been in my heart since it came out. I am absolutely and utterly in love with this song. I have been from the start. Best Coast is one of my favourite bands. I love the singer's vocals and the style that they produce their song in. It almost sounds like you're listening from a distance. The music video is also very romantic but I would like to share just the music. If you would like to watch the video, here it is. Enjoy x

don't be scared..

Hello there viewers! SO I look at my page views everyday to see how many people have viewed my blog and where they view from. It is not surprising to see such low amount of views because I am hardly a cool, popular blogger! Still, I get at least 1 view a day! That's awesome. What I was surprised by is the places where the viewers are from. I see viewers from America, Asia, Midlands and especially UK. Well, I live in UK so that's no surprise. But its cool how you lot are from so many different places.

PLEASE, talk to me, share you feeling on what you think of my blog, how I can make it better, whether you share same music taste as me or not. I would love to hear from you.

18.7.12

Hot Like Fire - The xx

So I am sure you guys have all heard of this band, The XX. If you haven't, boy, have you been missing out. They are literally the most unique band I listen to. I love the fact that they are so different to typical music in their genre. Music nowadays are filled with music throughout the song and hardly any lyrics and meaning to it. Unlike so, The XX stuck to their roots and have come out with new single called Angels. But I posted this one 'cause its my favourite out of all their songs. Enjoy.

Little Comets - Mathilda

I wonder if you guys have come across this song yet. I discovered this song last year via last.fm, again. (I love that site so much.) This is a great upbeat song with amazing musical instruments as well as great lyrics and of course the band themselves seem fresh and enthusiastic. I hate the fact that they're not any more well known. Have a listen.

8.7.12

Azealia Banks - Fuck Up The Fun

Hello there viewers! Today, I would like to share this song with you. This is one of my ultimate favourite song to dance/listen/scream/jump on. This song has awesome beat and her words to the song is rude, vulgar but fresh and fierce. I love her and I want to be as cool as her. Please listen and do enjoy!

5.7.12

The Knife - Heartbeats

Helloo! How are you today? I am tired as fuck 'cause I started my job today.Anyway, more on that later, here is a song I only discovered couple of days ago. This is quite a good song. The music is quirky and different. I love that. The only off thing about this is the singer's voice. It sounds a bit off tune in some parts but  maybe it's supposed to sound like that. Enjoy it. :D

29.6.12

Cults - Never Saw the Point (HD Audio)

Hi! Today I would like to share this song you you guys because I love this song. I downloaded it for free from last.fm as they were giving a free download of a lot of the Cults songs. You may have heard 'Go Outside' which is one of their more popular songs. This is a great song with good beat and her voice is sweet and lovely. Enjoy.

26.6.12

The Calling - Wherever You Will Go

On the other hand, this song came on the radio the other day, and I nearly deafened my mum. I absoulutely love this song. His voice, the music, the lyrics, everything about this song is perfect. I hope you guys love it as much as I love it. If you hate it, I feel sorry for you. Enjoy.

212- Azealia Banks BBC1 Radio Hackney Weekend 2012 (Live)

This is my only video from BBC Radio 1 HAckney Weekend. I fucking enjoyed it so much! Enjoy.

BBC1 HACKNEY WEEKEND 2012

Lucy Rose performing on Jamie's shoulder
Ben Howard
Miss Azealia Banks
So, I forgot to mention that I went to Hackney Weekend on Sunday! Fuck it was amazing. I wasnt looking forward to it so much because my sister was the one who wanted to go. I am not particularly a big fan of Rihanna so I was just not bothered too much. So we started with Bombay Bicycle Club who were complete and utter delight. I really enjoyed myself. I dont really listen to them but I am more into them now. Then we saw a bit of Professor Green, then we went straight to Ben Howard. That was also really enjoyable. HE has an amazing presence and a great voice. But he didnt play the one song everyone was waiting to hear- "Keep Your Head Up". But it was great. Then we rushed to Xtra stage because Azealia Banks was performing straight after Maverick Sabre. So we watched Sabre too and he was surprisingly fun. The crowd was having a good time and the music was awesome. Thencame on Azealia Banks who turned the whole thing upside down. It was fucking awesome. She is interactive, sounds great live and enjoys herself too. It was crazy. The music and vibe was one of the best I've ever been too. After seeing her we went to see Enter Shikari who were tearing it down too. His voice is flawless and he can go from smooth singing voice to screaming and shouting so easily. After that we saw Tinie Tempah who was crazy good too! Of course Florence(and The Machine) was great too. Her voice has no limits, and the crowd  was going mental. We didnt stay to see special guest Dizzee Rascal or Rihanna. That was the end of one of the highlights of this year so far.

22.6.12

Hoobastank - The Reason

Another song update! I was just doing something on my laptop(playing games as usual) and this song came on Kerrang channel and it just threw me back to those days! So many memories with this song. It also reminded me of how much I still love this song. I am sure anyone can relate to this song. Enjoy :D

Frank Sinatra - Somewhere Beyond The Sea

Last night, while I was showering, this song came on and I just got completely lost in the music. Sinatra was beyond words talented. So, it's no surprise how a song can move a person no matter what they're doing. This is one of my absolute favourite. Enjoy

Azealia Banks - Liquorice (Explicit)

Heyyaa! I have not been busy at all, I just cant be borthered yoo/ Anyway, today, I just felt like posting some stuff. The song above is great. I have been listening to it for a while and now the video is out, I would like to share it with you guys, although I have to say, I havent seen it yet, the song itself is freaking awesome. The music is upbeat and her lyrics are vulgar, rude and cheeky but it's great. She's a breathe of fresh air after all the typical female-rappers. Enjoy

2.5.12

The Horrors - Sea Within a Sea

Just an update really, lots of things have happened recently but I cant write it down as I don't have time! Too much work to do. Here's a song I just bumped into and am enjoying it. More update after 7 May! Bear with me please. :D gooooodnighttttt

29.2.12

Jay-Z & Kanye West - Ni**as In Paris (Explicit)

Today I finally listened to this song properly. I think I quite like it. I don't understand why people were pretending to hate it. Yes, I think people were pretending to hate it 'cause that's what they do now, hate everything Kanye West does. This is the result of Kanye being an idiot by rudely interrupting oh-so-precious Taylor Swift's speech on winning her VMA award. But whatever, I think it was stupid of him to take such action but he was right, she didn't deserve that award. Anyway, here's his new song with Jay-Z. I think it's pretty good.

Relax for a week

'Ello ello! So, I am home for a week. I think it's going to be a lazy week instead of me trying to do any work for uni. I am quite pro at procrastinating really so, this will be me at my best. Today, I cleaned my house while the parents were at work. How typical of an asian child, but I don't wanna hear the parents whine about "wasting" my time "lying around, doing nothin'". Not so relaxing after all..we'll see how the week goes on.

25.2.12

Tomorrow.

Hey! So I am really excited for tomorrow and come to think of it, day after tomorrow aswell! (Monday) Tomorrow is one of my closest friend Pragya's 19 birthday and we are thinking of surprising her. She lives alone so her parents are back in Nepal. Me and my sister were thinking of not wishing her at all. She'll probably be wondering, why we haven't said anything. I know, doesn't sound very nice. But, we're going to take the cake and presents and drinks round her house around midday and..SURPRISE! I know, not that much of a surprise but, that's the best we could come up with. We love her to bits!

'The Wolf' - Sissy And The Blisters

This is a band called "Sissy and The Blisters" who are pretty new. I saw them when they were supporting The Bid Pink. And I have to say, they're really good. They've got great stage presence and songs are really good. This is one of the songs that stood out from the rest. I think it's because of the unusual music and the strange spooky feel to it. Have a listen, enjoy.

24.2.12

Velvet- The Big Pink (Live)

Heyy, so this is my own video, hence the crap sound quality. But overall it's not bad. I went to see them on 20 Feb and they were phenomenal. I am officially one of their biggest and craziest fan. I also managed to nab the setlist! This particular song is my personal favourite. Enjoy.

Gotye - Somebody That I Used To Know (feat. Kimbra)

So this morning I woke up and went for a shower and came back to find myself putting this song on repeat. I don't even have control on my fingers anymore. I didn't even have to think about what song I want to listen. This is a very addictive song. The build up of the music, the build up of Gotye's vocals as well as Kimbra's makes it just so different and refreshing to listen to. Enjoy.

23.2.12

20

I just turned 20 last week. OMFG. 20 years have gone by and I haven't done anything that is amazing, phenomenal, crazy, dumbfounding, heroic.. just anything out of the ordinary. I've done plenty of stupid things but they're things that everyone does at least once in their lifetime. I wonder how 20 years have passed without me doing anything extraordinary. I'm such a fucking waste. This song pretty much sums it up.

Away..

Hey, so I haven't been on for ages, 4 months to be exact! I apologize. I just really got demotivated to do anything, esp write about music that I feel so passionately about in a blog that no one cares for. But today, on this bright sunny day, I realized something. I shouldn't care who reads it. It's my fucking blog. So, yeh. From now on, I will try to be punctual. Unless.. I'm busy. hah. :D
