Jet - Are You Gonna Be My Girl

Here is a song that has been my all-time favourite. Yep. The band "Jet" have always had the "cool" vibe and their songs are really cool. This one in particular is up-beat, and sing-along and jump-around type of song. That's awful lot of "as-in"s there. Enjoy.

Two nuns in Transylvania

Two nuns were driving through Transylvania when suddenly Count Dracula lands on the bonnet, snarling to the through the windscreen. "Quick! Show him your cross!" shouts one of the nuns. The second nun leans out of the window and yelled," Oi! Get off the fucking car!"

The Strokes - Reptilia

This song is fucking awesome. One of the first songs I heard from them. IF you've never heard of "The Strokes"(which i don't think is possible but still) then this song should be the start of your journey to discovering The Strokes. They have awesome songs. This, by far, is the best. Enjoy

ello ello..

so guys, I am gonna start posting some very lame jokes that you are likely to have heard of. But don't worry, it's still very much a music blog. :)

Arctic Monkeys - The Hellcat Spangled Shalalala

I don't know if you guys have heard it or not but this song came out few months ago, from their new album "Suck It and See". I have to say, it's their usual amazingness put together in yet another album. This album is more vivacious and the lyrics are, yet again, fucking amazing. The is one of their songs from their album. Enjoy.

Home to Home

Yesterday, I didn't get much time to write as I had full day at uni and came home to my parents' for the weekend so..it was busy day. I love it here. Before I moved out,I could NOT wait to leave, there was this and that and arguments about every little thing. But, once you leave, you realize how much they mean to you, and those little things you argued about were there because they care about us, their children, who they've spent the past 19 years looking after. These are the things we take fore granted but once it's gone, the value of it is so much more. On lighter note, my mum made my favourite dish and we ate and laughed. It was one of the best nights in the simplest form. So yeah, even though, London is my home now, this house is always going to be my safe nest where I can come any time and feel secure.

Ella Fitzgerald & Louis Armstrong: Dream A Little Dream Of Me

Here's a little Jazz for you. I absoulutely adore this song. Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong are just breathtaking. This is one of my favourite songs. It takes me back to those days, back when women were very feminine and elegant, and men were chivalrous. Now, not so much. Have a listen and enjoy.

Arctic Monkeys -- Don't Sit Down 'Cause I've Moved Your Chair

So, here's a song recently out, by Arctic Monkeys(who I will be seeing in less than 10 days!). It's called "Don't Sit Down 'Cause I Moved Your Chair". Jeez, that was a mouthful. Anyway, I love this song at the moment. It's quite a 'chill-out' song and the bass in the song is friking awesome. The lyrics are exceptional, as always. It's quite heavy in some parts with the band rocking it out but it's not metal heavy, it's quite perfect. Enjoy.

Jobless,my generation

Hello Hello, today I tried to wake up around 11 but stupid London wouldn't let me. Police sirens start going off at 7 in the morning. Sigh* So, I ended up waking at 9. This led me to sitting on the bed and staring at my computer. I am so bored. I was going to watch House Bunny but watched the latest SNL instead. It was great. I am still looking for a job as Boots rejected me 18 hours after finishing the questionnaire. Wonderful. They wasted 2 hours of my time! Actually, I've applied 4 times before for different places and seasons. Never.Again. If I don't get a part-time job soon, I will seriously consider suicide! It takes a lot to feel suicidal, esp for someone like me but enough is enough. Been unemployed for the past 2 years, why is it so hard to get a job? Probably applied to approx. 54 jobs. We are doomed I tell ya! We are DOOMED!

Kate Walsh- Your Song

This is a beautiful song sung by Kate Walsh. She has one of the most unique and beautiful voice ever. This particular song is my favourite from her and listen to it when I feel sorry for myself. No, not really, I just listen to it because I love it. This one above is live and even so she sounds exactly the same as her original song. Enjoy.

Unapproachable? Me?

Today, I had to wake up at 7:20am-ish for a lecture I had at 9am. Normally I don't have problem waking up early but when you're all warm and tight in your bed, you just don't want to! SO, I got up anyway, got to lecture. Both the lectures were very interesting and with amazing lecturers but when you're my age, all you think about is your friends, esp if you're new. So, I have made a few friends but somehow, I just don't seem to attract many people, even as friends. Do I look unapproachable? Do I smell?(i dont think so..:/) I don't know how many times I have smiled at someone and they've ignored me. Don't get me wrong, I love making friends, it's in my nature. But in a huge place where all types of people merge in together, I thought I'd do a lot better. This has upset me quite a bit but the thing is, when it comes to social life, I get upset easily. I am so used to being around friends that it sucks when you don't have that anymore. But, another thing is that this is only our first official week, so I guess I still have time to make friends and am just over-reacting. I am such a weirdo.

Just One Night- The Cheek

So to start off today, I have this song! So, on the way back from uni today, I was listening to my ipod on shuffle, this song came on. I haven't heard it for quite a while but reminded me of why I downloaded it. I love this song. His voice is quite unique. Everytime I listen to this song, it makes me want to jump around and sing along to it. I haven't heard many of The Cheek's songs but I intend to do that in near future. Enjoy.

Katy Perry - X Factor Exclusive Performance -The one that got away

Katy Perry. Now, I don't normally get excited about Katy Perry's new singles but this particular one is exceptional. Her vocals aren't bad and the lyric is beautiful and relatable. The only other song I like from Katy is "I Kissed A Girl". But you should check this out. Rather than performing album version, she did it acoustic version which is a nice change. I really like it. Enjoy.

Foals - One (Swedish House Mafia Cover)

I am pretty sure you guys have heard the song "One(Your Name)" by Pharell ft Swedish House Mafia. If not then check it out if you like Dance music. Its pretty awesome. Anyway, so this song above is a cover of that song by Foals. It's pretty cool. They have used lots of different instruments, it sounds very authentic and Yannis Phillipakis'(from the band Foals) vocals sounds amazing. Enjoy.

Otis Redding - Try A Little Tenderness (Album Version)

Now, this song is one of the most empowering songs I love. It's just so energetic and beautifully written. Otis Redding at his best. The way it builds up and then BOOM! lol. I have been in love with this song from the moment I heard it. Enjoy.

Friendly Fires - In the Hospital

This is my favourite song from the Friendly Fires. I love their music, its vibrant and fresh yet soothing and easy listening. I just want to dance when they come on. Enjoy.

Work experience

So in my first ever seminar that I attended yesterday, I found out that a girl is going to be having her work experience in none other than NME magazine. In my head, I was thinking, "you f*****g b***h, how the f**k did you manage that?? arrrghh, I will kill you and get your ID and go as you! Regardless the appearance differences(which is vast)". But soon I realised, this was because I was extremely jealous. I want to do that! But yeah, I always happen to  be the one who does not excel but the one who is gutted to see others go forward. But not any more, as I will try and do something about my career that is going to get me something better and worthwhile in the future. But of course, I am extremely lazy.

A Concert-virgin.

A what? Yep, I am 19 going on 20(soon) and I have never been to a concert before. That's how sad I am. This is due to many reasons but mainly 'cause my parents are pretty strict and protective. They never allowed me to go out after 6 unless it was with them. I know it sounds harsh but I have never been the one to like dissapointing people, esp my parents. I have great respect for them and I hated seeing them upset so I didn't sneek out or anything. I know, how boring am I! Not to mention a coward. But I thought, I am still young, I have time. And now that I live on my own with my sister(younger) I have finally decided to go to a concert and to no other than the Arctic Monkeys! First concert to the Arctic Monkeys. I am over the moon. And not only that, The Vaccines are going to be joining them. Yei! But I am on a roll. I will be seeing Friendly Fires soon after too. As you can tell, I am fucking excited. :D

Arctic Monkeys - A Certain Romance Live [At The Apollo DVD][High Quality]

I don't know about you guys but for my first post, I would like to post this video of the Arctic Monkeys. Now, in my opinion, I believe they are the best band I have ever listened to. No matter what they sing, I just happen to love them. And so, I have an undying love for them. Enjoy.
